On Friday 21 October 2016 the delivery of the Golden Star Awards took place, granted by the Instituto para la Excelencia Profesional in Los Monteros Spa & Resort Hotel, in the town of Marbella, Malaga.
The event was chaired by the Hon. Mr. Ignacio de Jacob y Gomez, Count of Pozos Dulces, President and Founder of the Institute together with the Hon. Prof. Dr. D. Antonio Gabriel Pérez Mateu, Vice Chairman of the same, the Gala began with the awards ceremony, followed by an exclusive Gala Dinner prepared by the hotel chef.
The IPE promotes and encourages the values of our nation and therefore recognises the efforts of those professionals, companies or institutions that promote the Spain brand. As a premise it collaborates with just and charitable causes, which is why it collaborates with various foundations and NGOs, such as UNICEF, the United Nations or the Spanish Association Against Cancer AECC.

As a Members of Honour of this institution among other renowned personalities are; Father Angel Garcia, founder of “Messengers of Peace” and the Prince of Asturias prize winner, His Excellency. Mr. Angel Galindo García, Rector of the Pontifical University of Salamanca, Hon. Mr. Vicente del Bosque , Marquis of Del Bosque, official coach of the Spanish football selection, Hon. D. Pau Gasol, professional basketball player and Prince of Asturias prize winner, the Hon. Mr. Emilio Butragueño, professional athlete and president of institutional relations of Real Madrid C.F, among others.
